Governance
-
At the foundation of Calco’s long history in the Victorian timber and building industry is our strict adherence to relevant state and industry laws, regulations, safety standards and ethical practices.
-
Calco’s HR policies and procedures are carefully constructed and monitored to ensure they follow relevant legal requirements, while also translating into a fair and safe workplace for all employees.
Calco’s management team, supervisors and WHS team are trained and supported to be proactive in providing leadership that promotes a safe and healthy working environment.
-
Calco is committed to social responsibility and environmentally friendly practices throughout our business operations. In addition to the responsibly sourced renewable timber we use in our products, we carry out a wide range of recycling and other programs as part of our daily operations to minimise waste and reduce our carbon footprint for tomorrow’s generations.
-
In an ongoing effort to use our resources to assist and improve the lives of those the community in which we operate, Calco supports various local and national initiatives and charities which align with our company values and ethical practices.
-
Calco is committed to the industry and holds some key roles in line with our responsibility to helping further the professionalism and viability of the timber prefabrication sector.
Several members of our team hold leadership roles with the Frame & Truss Manufacturers’ Association of Australia (FTMA), including one of our Directors who is a Board member. Calco’s OHS Coordinator is on the FTMA’s Safety Council, participating in driving a safer workplace across all fabricators and once again underlining safety as a driving priority in Calco’s own operations.
