As a partner in the global Carbon Warrior program, Calco’s timber products are helping the building industry to minimise its impact on climate change and provide a natural building material with a connection to nature. Timber has the lowest carbon footprint of any mainstream building material, with the frame production process removing more carbon than it emits.

For every tree harvested for timber, at least one new tree is planted in its place, resulting in over 70 million trees being replanted in Australia every year. In line with this scale of replanting, the volume of timber framing needed for the average home grows in just two-and-a-half minutes!
