The health, safety and welfare of our team, contractors, delivery drivers and visitors to our sites is a top priority and core to company’s operating values. Our primary aim is to ensure that our working environments comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and other relevant industry standards, laws and requirements.

A dedicated OHS Specialist carries out a key role in our organisation, assisting the Management Team and Supervisors in this vital area and ensuring that nothing is left to chance.

Calco leverages the industry leading hsi donesafe cloud platform, which forms part of our unwavering commitment to safety with every detail meticulously managed.

Ongoing training is provided to avoid risks and injuries and to promote safe work practices across the company. We also continuously analyse and update our safety processes, policies and procedures to ensure they are in keeping with technology advancements and other ongoing changes within the Calco workplace.

Along with regular communication of safe practices, we encourage our team to be part of making our workplace safe by reporting potential risks and hazards quickly so that they can be assessed and any necessary action taken.

The health, mental health and wellbeing of the team is supported with access to an industry counselling service. On-site team events are held to raise awareness of OHS and safety in the workplace, with participation in “R U Ok?” Day and fundraising for Annual Breast Cancer Awareness month and Movember, important dates in our company calendar.
